Abstract

The pollen fertility of the photoperiod-thermo(P-T) sensitive genic male sterile(GMS) rice is regulated by day-length or temperature. The pollen is sterile under long-day or high temperature conditions, while it's fertile under short-day or low temperature conditions. The study of the expression condition, the genetic analysis and the gene mapping of the P-T sensitive GMS gene in rice is very important for the utilization of 'two-line' hybrid rice.
