Abstract

Objective To explore the relation between the duration of using invasive mechanical ventilation of extubation indicator and the effect of treating COPD respiratory heart failure patients. Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on 42 COPD patients with respiratory heart failure who had used invasive mechanical ventilation. Results The mean extubating time for the 42 patients was 611±127) days. No extubution failure was found. Conclusion The duration of the treatment is one of the indicators when the COPD respiratory failure patients use invasive mechanical ventilation.
