Abstract

In order to solve the problem of low gas extraction rate at the low permeability and high gas seam in eastern area of Panyi deep well mine, the approach of using deep hole pre-splitting blasting technology was presented to increase the coal seam permeability, then improve the gas extraction rate, and lessen outburst danger of coal seam. The mechanism of deep hole pre-splitting blasting technology was briefly described, and the effect of permeability was studied. The research shows that compared with before blasting, the average gas extraction volume by deep hole pre-splitting blasting increased by 3 times, and it improved the gas extraction rate effectively, reduced the coal gas pressure and the content, and lessened the danger of coal and gas outburst to a certain extent.
