Abstract

Objective To compare the clinical effect of phacoemulsification and trabeculectomy for angle-closure glaucoma. Methods 58 cases of patients with angle-closure glaucoma, the ultrasound emulsification methods of treatment of patients with established as group A,a total of 32 cases, set up the rest of the application trabeculectomy patients(group B),a total of 26 cases, the two groups were compared surgery before and 3 months after surgery visual acuity and intraocular pressure changes. Results The preoperative group A and group B patients mean visual acuity difference is not significant, significant improvement in mean visual acuity compared with preoperative postoperative 3 months later, group A and group B,and group A after 3 months, mean visual acuity more significant improvements than in group B,the difference was statistically significant(P 0.05).Preoperative IOP of group A and group B patients the difference was not significant IOP compared with preoperative postoperative 3 months later, group A and group B was significantly lower(P 0.01) in group A after 3 months the IOP reduced more significantly than in group B,the difference was statistically significant(P 0.05).Conclusion Compared with traditional trabeculectomy, phacoemuls ification treatment of angle-closure glaucoma better, can significantly improve the patient's vision, worthy of promotion and application.
