Conceptual and Historical Analysis of LIU Zongzhou’s Noumenon and Gongfu

In the viewpoint of Jishan(LIU Zong-zhou),the noumenon and Gongfu is of the intrinsic integrity and the noumenon is the base and leading of Gongfu while Gongfu is the spread and practice of the noumenon.In the essence of noumenon,Gongfu cannot be trivial.In the essence of Gongfu,the noumenon cannot be extremely mysterious and abstruse.However,at the environment of the worse study at the end of Ming dynasty,Jishan paid more attention to the idea of the noumenon from practice of Gongfu,so that he said there was not the noumenon without Gongfu.To realize the noumenon in Gongfu is to make the morality into beings’intrinsic practice based on the transcendent rationality.
