Abstract
Objective To analyze the CT appearances of atypical bacterial liver abscess for the purpose of early diagnosis and differential diagnosis. Methods 24 lesions from 24 patients with bacterial hepatic abscess that were confirmed by clinical manifestations and puncture and culture were gleaned. Results In plain CT scan, the atypical bacterial liver abscess exhibited as hypodensity mass.Enhanced CT showed peripheral enhancement sign, mass diminution sign, honeycomb enhancement and delayed enhancement. Conclusion Manifestations of atypical bacterial liver abscess vary from case to case on plain and enhanced CT scan, but the enhanced appearance is characteristic so helps to the diagnosis.
