Abstract
The article focuses on the convergence of the SAOR iterative method.When the coefficient matrix is consistently ordered matrix with non-zero diagonal elements,sufficient and necessary condition of the convergence of SAOR iterative method is given in the case that all eigenvalues of its Jacobi matrix are pure imaginary numbers.
