Study on Flora Characteristics of Pteridophyta in the Jinyun Mountains

Based on a detailed survey of the Pteridophyta plants in Jinyun Mountain Natural Reserve of Chongqing and investigation of the related reference materials,their flora similarity,flora similarity with the Pteridophyta plants in the neighboring nature reserves and species coefficient were analyzed statistically.A total of 153 species,belonging to 38 families,74 genera,were recorded in this natural reserve.The Pteridophyta plants were found to have a great species coefficient,high habitat coherence and small flora richness.Tropically-distributed families(19) accounted for 50% of the total and tropically-distributed genera(43) accounted for 58.11% of the total.No distinctly dominant families or genera were noticed and a great number of single-species families and genera were observed,indicating their ancient geological origin,which is characterized by ancient relict plants.Because of the differentiation of altitude,location and climate conditions,the composition and flora characteristics of Pteridophyta in Jinyun Mountain Natural Reserve were similar to those of Chishui Nature Reserve in Guizhou and JinFo Mountain Nature Reserve in Chongqing,but quite different from those of Jiuzhaigou and Haizi Mountain Nature Reserve in Sichuan.
