Abstract
With abundant tourism resources, the tourism industry in Shanxi could realize a thorough reform and leapfrog development with the help of e-business, the best strategic approach. E-business of tourism in Shanxi has strong potential based on the solid foundation the province has. However, the tourism websites are not very effective with few valuable information provided. Tourism enterprises could not offer distinctive services. And resources integration between traditional tourism business and e-business is insufficient without a strong talent pool for e-business. All efforts should be made in building a collaborative platform and offering individualized services by tourism websites. Online and offline resources could be integrated through the trial of O2O mode. In addition, mobile e-business should be developed and a strong talent pool be built. In so doing, the overall competitiveness of the tourism industry in Shanxi could be greatly improved by full utilization of tourism resources.
