Abstract

There was an obvious spatial difference in landscape spatial patterns of land-use in Henan Province, because of the double effects of natural conditions and human activities. The landscape spatial patterns of land-use in Yellow River Basin in west Henan Province were quantitatively analyzed by using landscape indices in the article. The results showed that the landscape patches were mainly agricultural landscape and forest landscape type, which showed that the matrix of landscape was agricultural and forest. The gap of Patch Density and Mean Shape Index among landscape types was significant, the patches type of landscape elements was simple in the mass. The Shannon Diversity Index,Shannon Evenness Index and Landscape Dominance Index were 1.909,0.615 and 4.682 respectively. And this showed that there were a high heterogeneity and abundant landscape types in the form of mosaic. The Landscape Fragmentation Index and Edge Density were 0.00047 and 45.855m/hm2 respectively in study area. And the landscape fragmentation degree in study area was rather low especially in western hilly-gully region with slight human-caused disturbance.
