Abstract
In this paper,we take Yonglian test area in Hetao irrigation district for an example to set up the water balance model.Then,we analyze the reasonability of regional evapotranspiration estimated by water balance method,the relation between evapotranspiration and several main components of water balance,and the influence of different observation depths in unsaturated zone on estimated evapotranspiration.In addition,we analyze the components of water balance and mechanism of water consumption in Yonglian.Finally,we arrive at some conclusion on how to appmy water balance method.
