The clinical effect of no penetrating trabeculectomy in open angle glaucoma

Objective To evaluate the clinical effect of no penetrating trabeculectomy with Mitomycin C sodium hyaluronate inplant in open angle glaucoma. Methods Twenty eyes of open angle glaucoma underwent no penetrating trabeculectomy with Mitomycin C and sodium hyaluronate inplant.With the difference of age,the time of using Mitomycin C were different.Postoperatively,the intraocular pressure,visual function,bleb apperance and intraocular reactions were recorded.The mean follow up was 8-36 months.Results Postoperatively,the intraocular pressure was in 9-17 mmHg and the visual acuity remainded stable in 19 eyes.One case was applied combined trabeculectomy.All cases had no severe complication.Conclusion No penetrating trabeculectomy with Mitomycin C and sodium hyaluronate inplant is an effective operation for the treating of open angle glaucoma.
