The Value of Somatosensory Evoked Potentials in Evaluation of Spinal Cord Function

With the rapidly development of medical imaging technology,more imformation was provided by magnetic resonance imaging.Now the state of the injured site inside the spinal cord can be assessed directly.But the use of somatosensory evoked potential technology can help us understand more information about function.As one neuroelectrophysiologic examination,somatosensory evoked potential is used widely in clinic.It includes cortical somatosensory evoked potentials and spinal cord evoked potentials.Both of them can evaluate spinal cord function effectively.This paper reviewed the value of somatosensory evoked potentials in Evaluation of spinal function.
