Abstract

Wolbachia is a common and widespread group of bacteria found in reproductive tissues of arthropods. These bacteria are transmitted through the cytoplasm of host eggs. And the thelytokous parthenogenesis of Trichogramma induced by Wolbachia is important in biological control. This paper summarizes the new research progress on the distribution of Wolbachia, sex determination on Trichogramma, the transfer among Trichogramma population, and the effect on the fitness on Trichogramma.
