Abstract
As a new advanced oxidation pretreatment process, Fenton's reagent receives much attention in recent years. In this paper, the generation mechanism of hydroxyl radical is summarized. The functional mechanism as well as the advantages and disadvantages of Fenton method and analogous Fenton method are presented. The oxidation characteristics of Fenton reagent and analogous Fenton reagent are particularly elaborated. The application of various kinds of Fenton reagent in industrial wastewater treatment has been summed up.
