On the Tragic Consciousness of Ancient China from the Perspective of the Dual Structure of Dou-E Tragedy

The ancient Chinese plays like Dou-E Tragedy and Peach-blossom Fan have a dual structure. Most works in ancient China have many common points in terms of their tragicalness and deep structure. The tragic prototype is their intrinsic theme and occurs repeatedly in different works with their restrictive semantic association. The consciousness of ancient China originated from the established beliefs and the irreconcilable conflicts in reality, and the tragedy in ancient China was the moral tragedy of doing what should not be pursued, on which this paper focuses.
