Abstract
The paper briefs Japanese study of the conception of Sokutenkyosi of Natsume Souseki,and studies the influence of Chinese literature,which has been long neglected by previous studies,on Natsume Souseki's works.The author holds that the comparative study of Meian and the Chinese poetry at that times is an important approach to understand Sokutenkyosi.Through the comparison of Meian and its counterpart in Chinese poetry,the author draws the conclusion that there is an interweaving connection among Meian,Chinese poetry and Sokutenkyosi and that Chinese poetry is a necessary reference to the study of Natsume Souseki,particularly the works of his late years.
