Abstract

The aim of the study was to observe the embryonic and early larval development of Schizothorax lissolabiatus which was incubated from the oosperm obtained by artificial fertilization without water. The time sequence and morphological characteristics of this fish were presented from the fertilized egg to the yolk sac and early larvae during the cultivation period. The mature egg of this fish was close to sphericity and had golden color, with a diameter of(2.2±0.13) mm.The egg membrane began to absorb water and expand in 12 min after fertilization, the diameter of the oosperm was(3.2±0.21) mm.The average incubation period was 174.28 hrs at the water temperature of 15 ~ 17℃.The length of the early larval fish was 8.5 mm and the 6-day-old larva would firstly feed on the fairy shrimp and then entered the mixed nutritional stage.
