Abstract
Objective To discuss the efficacy of 64-slice spiral CT angiography in the assessment of lower limb peripheral arterial occlusive disease. Materials and Methods 40 patients with symptomatic lower extremity peripheral arterial occlusive disease underwent 64-slice spiral CT angiography,CTA and DSA of 15 patients were performed within 1 week. The arterial system was divided into 8 segments. Each segment was classified as normal, mild stenosis, moderate stenosis, severe stenosis and occlusion. The accuracy of 64-detector row CT angiography and conventional digital subtraction angiography was compared. Results The 198 segments were selected, 191 segments had consistent results in both examinations. On CT angiography, 6 segments were overestimated,1 segment was underestimated. Kappa=0.953,P=0.0170.05. Conclusion 64-slice spiral CT angiography is a reliable method for evaluating the lower extremity arteries.
