Clinic study on gastric function of functional dyspepsia patients

Objective It is to observe the relationship between gastric function and clinical symptom of functional dyspepsia(FD) patients.Methods 30 FD patients,22 healthy subjects(HS) and 12 patients checked with self were participated in this study.X-ray film of barium-sulfate-milk and clinical symptom examination were executed.The midgastric-transverse band(MTB),distal gastric and proximal gastric area,gastric emptying ratio and clinic symptom integral were observed.The relativity among the four ones was discussed.Results MTB of FD group was wider than that of HS group(P0.05) and was shorter after treatment.The postprandial proximal gastric area of FD group instantly was shrunken and that at other time was increscent compared with that of HS group,but that after treatment was shrunken.The relationship was very close between gastric emptying and distal gastric area(P0.01).The symptom total integral of FD group was improved after treatment(P0.01).The midsection ache,eructation,nausea and vomiting were in consanguineous connection with proximal stomach.Conclusion The symptoms of FD are related to maladjustment of gastric function.
