Abstract

It is tested whether there exists a long equilibrium relationship between consumer confidence index and consumption demand.Using co-integration technique,the dynamic relationship is studied between consumer confidence index and the total retail sales of consumer goods in the Chinese leading cities.The results show that there is no co-integration relationship between them to any city in China.
