A Study of the Bamboo Musical Instrument in Li Nationality Areas of Hainan Island

The bamboo musical instrument of Li nationality is the embodiment of the affection and wisdom of Li's forefathers and it is also the rare cultural heritage to study ethnomusicology. As the ethnological proof of the South Sea area,it provides the living evidence to construct the complete minority music culture of Southern areas. This paper attempts to demonstrate the unique charm of LI music and the evolution law of music culture that combines continental and marine culture on this ancient island by studying parts of bamboo Li musical instruments.
