Progress of Acupuncture and Moxibustion for Treating Diabetes in Recent Decade

Through literature review of recent ten years on acupuncture and moxibustion for treating diabetes, we summarized the clinical advantages of acupuncture and moxibustion in the treatment of diabetes from perspective of literature,experiment and clinical research. We found that acupuncture and moxibustion could be used to treat diabetes through adjusting blood glucose and hormone levels,repairing pancreas and regulating central nervous system,and the beneficial effect has been proved by some clinical practice. The acupuncture and moxibustion in the treatment of diabetes is safe and effective,which is worthy of recommending for clinical application.
