Abstract
Objective:To discuss the proper treatment of mechanical ventilation for acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) induced by inhalation injury (INI).Methods:Measures and effects of mechanical ventilation were analyzed in a group of 24 cases admitted. Results:Among the 24 cases,21 patients were cured,3 patients died. Conclusion:Early mechanical ventilation therapy is significantly effective for ARDS induced by INI.The cure rate can be improved with appropriate venti- lation mode.Compared with the mode PEEP/CPAP,two new modes HFJV and HFOV also indicate a good prospect.
