Abstract
In order to verify the application of the energy balance snow melt model for the Gongnaisi River basin,an experiment of the model was performed in Tianshan Station of Snow Cover and Avalanche Research. There were three snow water collect sites in the experiment.By comparison between estimated snow water equivalent(SWE) and observed SWE of NO.1,NO2,NO.3 snow water collect sites, the results showed that two goodness of fit statistics for simulations,Nash-sutcliff coefficient(R2) and volume difference(Dv) were that R2=0.86,Dv=-5.9%(NO.1 snow water collect site);R2=0.92,Dv =-3.2% NO.2),R2=0.91,Dv=-10.7%(NO.3),respectively.The predictions had been overestimated somewhat. The high R2 and low Dv suggested that the model had good simulation effect and it can be applied in Gongnaisi River.
