Abstract

To obtain novel genes encoding new and potential protective antigens,Schistosoma japonicum adult worm cDNA library was immunoscreened with sera from rabbits repeatedly infected by Schistosoma japonicum. The inserts of positive clones were amplified by PCR and sequenced. The data obtained were analyzed with nucleotide BLAST software of NCBI and export protein analysis of swiss institute of bioinformatics.Three Schistosoma juponicum novel genes named IR1,IR2,IR3(GenBank accession number:AY170313,AY173930,AY251481) were obtained, which seemed to be different from previously reported genes in GenBank.IR3 has complete gene sequence of 897 bases encoding a protein with 299 amino acides. Its pI is 6.09 and Mr is (33 190).
