DISCOVERY AND PROSPECTING SIGNIFICACE OF DASUJI PORPHYRY MOLYBDENUM DEPOSIT,INNER MONGOLIA

Abstract

Based on regional mineralizing background,mine geology,geochemical and geophysical exploration,ore genesis and ore-forming conditions,ore prospecting and significance in the Dasuji porphyry molybdenum deposit are briefly reviewed.The deposit is located at north margin of North China platform and surrounding area of Mingxinggou volcanic basin.Basement rocks are composed of Archean upper Jining group gneiss and Archean migmatitic granitoids.Yanshanian syenograntic porphyry and quartz porphyry are outcropped in the center of the deposit.Ore bodies are hosted in cracked quartz porphyry and syenograntic porphyry,showing tube-shaped occurrence.It is a lower grade porphyry type Mo deposit,and might become middle scale.Primary molybdenum sulfide ores are found in the depth with more than 100m thick in some parts.Successful finding of the deposit provides experience for crust-origin porphyry Mo deposit in the Inner Mongolia,and has actual significance for ore-finding in the belt.
