Abstract
A mathematical model was built up for calculating surface fractal dimension of clay particles. Clay samples were collected and measured for surface fractal dimension of clay particles using a high precision digital optical microscopic system. Results of the experiment showed that the mathematic model was rational and proved to be a simple method for analysis of surface fractal dimension of clay particles.
