Review of progress in acupuncture treatment of dysphagia after stroke

The review described the acupuncture treatment progress of post-stroke dysphagia,analyzed recent literature on acupuncture treatment of post-stroke dysphagia and discussed the classification from the body acupuncture,neck acupuncture,tongue acupuncture,eye acupuncture and electro-acupuncture therapy. There are no special effective treatments for dysphagia after stroke using modern medicine methods. The acupuncture and moxibustion treatment for dysphagia after stroke is significantly effective and has advantages of low cost and low side effects. It is a safe,effective and worthy of promotion. However,there are still some problems in current clinical research,which need to be improved in the future.
