Abstract

A modified glass carbon electrode(GCE) with graphene was fabricated through an electrochemical reduction procedure. The effects of various experimental conditions such as reduction potential, circles and scan rate were studied. The modified electrode showed an excellent electrocatalytic ability towards the redox of hydroquinone and catechol. In 0.1 mol/L PBS(pH 7.0),hydroquinone and catechol could be simultaneously determined on the modified electrode by CV and differential pulse votammetry(DPV) techniques. The linear ranges were 8.0×10-6~1.2×10-4 mol/L for CC and 3.0×10-6~1.0×10-4 mol/L for HQ,and detection limit were 1.2×10-6 mol/L and 3.7×10-7 mol/L(S/N=3).
