Abstract
The main bridge of Xinlong bridge in Changzhou is a 3-span continuous half through steel truss arch bridge with 30.7 m + 100 m +30.7 m in length. It is the first highway bridge in China among the same kind of bridges. This paper introduces a construction method of installing steel truss arch-girder of the main bridge by full space scaffolding. The construction techniques of erecting full space scaffolding supporting system, installing steel truss arch-girder,closuring arch ribs and tightening high strength bolts are expatiated. This practice proves that the construction method is reasonable and provides the reference for the same project construction.
