Abstract

Objective To evaluate the left ventricular systolic function(LVSF) in patients with coronary artery disease(CAD) using real-time three-dimensional echocardiography(RT-3DE).Methods 34 patients with CAD were tested by using RT-3DE.The end diastolic volume(EDV),end systolic volume(ESV),stroke volume(SV) and ejection fraction(EF) of left ventricular were measured, and compared with those of 34 healthy volunteers. Results The LVEDV,LVESV and SV in patients with CAD were significantly higher than those in the normal control subjects(P0.001),and LVEF was significantly lower than that of control subjectives(P0.001).Linear correlative analysis showed that the decrease of LVEF was negatively correlated with the increase of LVEDV(r=-0.758).Conclusion RT-3DE can measure left ventricle volume and LVEF accurately, and evaluate LVSF after left ventricular remodeling in patients with CAD effectively.
