Abstract
The distribution of E.stiedai antigen in the liver, spleen and lymph nodes from the hepatoduodenal ligament of rabbits was determined by immunohistochemical SABC method. The results suggested that E.stiedai antigen, such as sporocysts, schizozoites and sporozoites were distributed in hepatic sinusoid, bile duct epithelial cells, portal lymph node and spleen, according to the obvious brown-yellow positive reaction zone. The quantity of antigen in order was liver, spleen and portal lymph node. There were also lots of necrotic liver cells, lymphocytes and Langhans giant cells in the immune organs. It indicated that multiple nuclear giant cells were involved in the process of phagocytosis and treatment on coccidia.
