Abstract

Deng Xiao-ping's thoughts about socialist democracy are based on history and reality.The basic contents are: socialist democracy and Four Basic Principles;there would be no socialism and socialist modernization without democracy;systematization and legalization of democracy.It is Deng Xiao-ping's thoughts about socialist democracy that re-establish the position of democracy in China's process of socialist modernization and promote the systematization and legalization of democracy.Those thoughts guide the socialist democracy construction with Chinese characteristics.
