Abstract
SO2-4/ TiO2/ Al2O3solid acid catalyst was prepared by co-precipitation and impregnation method. The catalytic performance of the catalyst for synthesis of n-butyl acetate from acetic acid and n-butyl alcohol was investigated. The influencial factors of aging temperature,H2SO4concentration and calcination temperature during the preparation process of the solid acid catalyst were optimized by responsive surfaces methodology. The catalyst was characterized by XRD and IR techniques. The results showed that the esterification rate of ethyl acetate of 98. 1% over SO2-4/ TiO2/ Al2O3solid acid catalyst was attained under the optimal condition of aging temperature- 4 ℃,H2SO4concentration 1. 48 moL·L- 1and calcination temperature 586 ℃. The catalyst SO2-4/ TiO2/ Al2O3possessed high catalytic activity and stability.
