Abstract
Simulated wastewater, containing the weak acid brilliant red B and the anionic surfactant SDS,was treated by microwave enhanced Fenton oxidation. The influence of initial pH value, amount of H2O2,amount of FeSO4,microwave power, reaction time on color and COD removal rate were discussed. The results showed that when the pH value was 2.5,H2O2 dosage was 4 mL/L,FeSO4 dosage was 100 m g/L,microwave power was 539 W and reaction time was 10 min,the removal rate of color was 99.1%,the removal rate of COD was 89.9%.According to the results of the contrast experiments among four treatment processes, including microwave radiation,Fenton oxidation, water bath enhanced Fenton oxidation and microwave enhanced Fenton oxidation, microwave and Fenton oxidation had a certain synergy and microwave enhanced Fenton oxidation could both shorten the reaction time for dyeing wastewater and reduce the dosage of Fenton reagent.Besides, microwave enhanced Fenton oxidation can also improve the removal rate of COD greatly.
