Abstract

[Objective] The study aimed to confirm the control effect of 19% nicosulfuron · bromoxynil octanoate suspension agent (NBOSA) on annual monocotyledonous and dicotyledonous weed in corn fieldand its safety for corn, and make sure its optimum dosage. [Method] In the field experiment the randomized block arrangement was set up with 4 repeats. The investigations on safety and control effect were done in the plot applied the herbicides and the investigation results of control effect were conducted for Duncan's statistical test by DPS software. [Result] The treatments with 19 % NBOSA at 4 dosages of 228~570 g/hm2 and 25 % bromoxynil octanoate EC at 450 g/hm2 had no bad influence on the growth and tasselling of corn. The application of 19% NBOSA at 228~285 g/hm2 could control annual monocotyledonous and dicotyledonous weed effectively in corn field. On the 10th d after the herbicide application, the control effects per plant of 19% NBOSA on the weed such as Echinochloa crusgalli, Digitaria sanguinalis, Acalypha australis, Abutilon theophasti and Cyperus difformis were 74.6 %~87.6 %. On the 30th d, the control effects per plant were 91.2 %~97.4 % and the control effects on of fresh weight were 91.3 %~98.8 %. [Conclusion] Controlling weed in corn field with 19 % NBOSA was safe and effective and the optimum application time was 3~5 leaf stage.
