Abstract

The Beidagou gold deposit in Heilongjiang Province is a newly-discovered mesothermal-epithermal gold deposit related to the Yanshanian volcanism, located in the Da Hinggan Ling Mountains metallogenic belt. The ore type of the Beidagou gold deposit is quartz vein type. The ore textures are hypautomorphic-xenomorphic granular, metasomatic and colloidal. The ore is characterized by dense block, disseminate and veinlet structures.Gold appears as natural gold at the state of intergranular, crevice and enclosure, occurring in the major gold-carrying mineral quartz.Gold minerals are commonly fine grain size. The ore is easy leaching. It has useful composition and industrial value. The ore features and gold occurrence of the Beidagou gold deposit is similar to the Sandaowanzi gold deposit, showing a great potential to search for other large-scale gold deposits at depth and in the surrounding areas.
