Abstract
The average number of anthers in one flower, the size and the morphology of the pollens, the germination of the pollens of 2 triploid cultivars (Hongbiaowuhe and Wuhezaohong) and its berry setting rate were studied. The results indicated that there were significant variation in the size of the pollens between diploid, triploid and tetraploid cultivars, and the difference can also be found from the morphology of the pollens. The berry setting rates of different fertilization are much higher than that of the self-fertilization.
