Discussion on the Expression of Regional Culture of Small and Medium Railway Stations——Taking the Design of Liaocheng Station as Example

The architectural culture is the sum of architectural substances and spiritual wealth in the process of human social practice.It forms the architectural styles by the impact of the history,culture and environment in different regions.The small and medium passenger stations are distributed in various places all over the country with the construction of the railway,so the architectural design of the stations should better express the local culture.This paper discusses the historical and cultural identity in the locations of the stations,and applies the design techniques of the shape,color and architectural symbols,which enable them own the regional characteristics.With the design example of Liaocheng Station,this paper analyzes the cultural and historical background in its region,and introduces how to fully reflect the regionalism of local architectural and culture in the interior and exterior design of stations.It makes a useful attempt for the regional expression.
