Curative effect observation of lumbar disc herniation treated by integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine therapy

Objective To observe and analyze the clinical curative effect of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine in treatment of lumbar disc herniation. Methods In our hospitial, 144 patients with lumbar disc herniation from March 2010 to September 2012 were randomly divided into the treatment group and the traditional Chinese control group and western medicine control group according to informed consent principle, 48 patients in each group. The efficacy was analyzed among the 3 groups. Results The total effective rate was 95.83% in treatment group, which is higher than 72.92% in the traditional Chinese control group and 77.08% in the western medicine control group ( P 0.05). Conclusion The traditional Chinese combined western medicine in treatment of lumbar disc herniation is better, which is worthy of clinical application.
