Methods The retrospective survey was carried out to investigate 3 194 cases of hospital surgical wound infections after surgery. Results Among 3 194 surgical patients investigated,36 cases had wound infections which accounted for 1.13%.The rate of surgical wound infection was related with the age of patient, wound type, perioperative medication and other factors. Conclusion The infection rate of surgical incisions in this hospital is not high and the patient's age and type of incision are closely related with the infection.
