Abstract
Objective To evaluate left ventficular diastolic function in patients with hypertension by acoustic quantification technique(AQ).Methods Twenty normal subjects and forty-eight patients with hypertension were examined by echocardiongraphy. Hypertensive patients were divided into two groups according to left ventricular mass index(LVMI):left ventricular hypertrophy(LVH) group,no left ventricular hypertrophy(NLVH)group.Left atrial filling fraction(AFF)and left ventricular peak rapid filling rate (PRFR)were measured by AQ and compared with peak VE、VA、VE/VA、Ve、Va、Ve/Va.Results With the increase of hypertension, AFF gradually increased, while PRFR gradually reduced, which was obvious in left ventricular hypertrophy group.Compared with NLVH group and the control group, there were significant differences(P0.05).Conclusion AQ was useful to the early assessment of di- astolic dysfunction in hypertensive heart disease.AFF and PRFR may be potential parameters to evaluate LV diastolic performance.
