Abstract

As one part of the accident causation theory, accident causation chain serves as a method of preventing accidents. The best way to prevent accidents is to study the accident causation chain. This study takes the modern accident causation chains for example, and introduces the Swiss cheese model, HFACS model and behavioral accident causation 2-4model. The Swiss cheese model firstly introduced managerial factors. HFACS model defined these managerial factors, but made some repetition, and operated uneasily. Behavioral accident causation 2-4 model analysis accidents based on individual level and organizational level, namely one shot behavior, habitual behavior, operation behavior and indication behavior. 2-4 model is good for accidents analysis. This paper chooses Brazil's 1·27 special major fire accident for study, and researches the advantages and disadvantages of three model accidents causation chains.
