Abstract

The deck of deck carrier is relatively wide which cause its aspect ratio and breadth-depth ratio are easily out of limitation in the standard,so that it is necessary to evaluate the structural strength by FEA.The hull FE model of the deck carrier's bow part was established in MSC.Patran/Nastran to analyze the strength under designed loads including longitudinal loads, external water pressure and deck partial load by direct strength assessment method.
