Abstract

Recently Wetterich proposed a varying dark energy model with the equation of the state w( z )= (1+w0) /(1+bln(1+z)) to explain the accelerating universe at present. In this paper we constrain this dark energy model with the 194 Ia supernova data and find that the no varying phantom dark energy model is favored and ? m0 0.6and w0 ?0.5 at the 95.4 percent confidence level.
