Abstract

Through analyzing the internal relations among people's media views, outlooks on life and privacy views,we will have a more real and specific understanding of the actual situation of people's privacy views and their impact on people's lives. The result of this questionnaire shows that: first, with the transformation of China's social modernization, the privacy views of college students have been enhanced especially in aspect of the general acceptance or recognition of privacy and the rights of privacy. When it comes to the specific meaning and possible range of privacy, their cognation appears more obscure and the individual differences are relatively large;second, while many college students' awareness of publicity have been upgraded, there are still many college students who lack sufficiently clear distinction for the public domain and private domain, which directly affects the refinement and development of their privacy views;third, during the course of their private views' formation and development, college students may accept the external values(such as the west) more easily than general population,on the one hand, this is the need to adapt for social transformation,on the other hand,it may lead to denial of the modern value components in our traditional culture.Because they have different privacy concepts, there might emerge some bias and errors in privacy concepts for most of undergraduates. Therefore, the ideological education in colleges and universities should confront this problem and place the privacy education on the agenda and help undergraduates to form correct view of privacy.
