Research on the Concept of C~4ISR Requirements Process

It is considered to have been finished with C4ISR requirements only when it has achieved a clear,stable understanding of what are needed.However,nowadays the results of C4ISR requirements analysis are dissatisfactory.Therefore,the authors put forth the idea of C4ISR requirements process,which can serve as the guideline of the activities in C4ISR requirements engineering.Firstly,considering operational domain,functional domain and technical domain,C4ISR requirements are divided into three layers,including capacity requirements,system requirements and technical requirements.Secondly,the authors present the definition of C4ISR requirements process and delineate the framework of C4ISR requirements process.The framework is composed of requirements domain,requirements development and requirements management.C4ISR requirements development is the set of activities including gathering,modeling,verifying and generating requirements.C4ISR requirements management is the set of activities including managing relations,managing changes and managing editions.Lastly,the authors analyze the functions of C4ISR requirements process provided that it is used in the life-cycle of C4ISR system.The analysis shows that tC4ISR requirements process is very important.
