An Empirical Study on the Relationship between Financial Development and the Reginal Industrial Structure——Taking Chongqing where the city and countryside coexist as an example

Based on the theoretical analysis of the relationship between financial development and the industrial structure adjustment, taking Chongqing where the city and countryside coexist as an example, this paper identify the relationship of financial development and industrial structure adjustment of Chongqing through an empirical study over the period 1980-2008. The results show that, the financial interrelation ratio has positive role in promoting the industrial structure adjustment and optimization of Chongqing, but the financial structure ratio doesn't have significant effect on the industrial structure adjustment and optimization. On this basis, some policy suggestions are given to promote the industrial structure promotion and economic development through Chongqing financial development.
