Abstract
Objective To investigate family members' needs and satisfaction with nursing care,and compared with the recognition of nurses.Method Using the method of cluster sampling,182 family members and 213 nurses from 3 general hospitals were sampled and investigated with questionnaires.Results The family members had high and broad needs to nursing care.The ranking of needs was accordant with nurses recognition,while nurses rated lower degree of needs than family members.Regarding the satisfaction,the general satisfaction of family members was high,while nurses rated lower level of satisfaction than family members.Conclusion Nurses should correctly evaluate family members' needs and satisfaction with nursing care,so as to improve the quality of nursing.
